Hair Extensions FAQ

Q.Can I wash & blow dry my human hair extensions?
A. Yes. Human hair extensions can be treated exactly the same as your own hair. Be gentle whilst washing them and use a medium to low setting when blow drying as excessive heat could damage the bonds.

Q.Can I dye the human hair?
A. In most cases yes but not all colours can be dyed. Also going more than one shade lighter or darker from the existing colour is not recommended. Yyou should always be extra careful to ensure the hair dye does not come into contact with the bonds as this may weaken them. If you are not certain please contact us for further advice.

Q.Can I remove the extensions myself?
A.It is highly recommended that your hair extensions be removed by one of our trained consultants to ensure your own hair is not damaged during this process.

Q.How are the extensions removed?
A.Over time the bonds attached to your hair will naturally weaken. Our trained consultants will use a releasing solution allowing us to remove the extensions safely without causing any damage to your own hair.

Q.Is there a cost for removing Hair Extensions?
A.There is a charge for removing hair extensions. Please click here to contact us for further details.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any other questions. We are always happy to help.

Spray Tanning FAQ

Q.What is DHA?
A. DHA is a naturally occurring sugar, found in (e.g.) Walnuts and Rape Seed plants. It is used as a sweetener in many products and its tanning ability was first discovered when a nurse spilt sweet cough syrup on a child’s face, which then stained the skin!

Q.How long does it last?
A. Commonly 5 – 7 days. Lasting time for any tan is very much down to how you maintain it, your skin type as well as the type of spray used.

Q.Is it safe?
A. Yes, the Cosmetic Institute of Germany stated in its 2000 report that DHA is safe. (Bericht über die 61. Sitzung der Kommission/Expertengruppe für kosmetische Mittel des Bundesinstituts für gesundheitlichen Verbraucherschutz und Veterinärmedizin (BgVV) am 30. November 2000 in Berlin)
The solutions have also been expertly tested within Germany, which has the strictest laws governing cosmetics in Europe.

Q.Does it smell?
A. All fake tans have a distinctive odour. You will generally not find the smell disagreeable. The smell also doesn’t linger long on the skin.

Q.What if I have sensitive skin?
A. People with sensitive skin need not despair! All of our sprays keep the DHA levels to a minimum.

Q.What if I am pregnant?
A. We don’t recommend that pregnant women, or those breast feeding, use our Spray Tanning service. There is nothing dangerous in the solutions we use but they do contain a small amount of alcohol to aid the drying process. Some women also become sensitive to some products when pregnant so this advice is a general precaution.
